Sales behavior
Obviously my job seems be really bad, I sell my tracks just the first day when is approved, two days later the analytic shows, that the same track appears in the last places for search. That means = 30 hours of work invested in each track for Earn $9.50

Reversal???
I do see your concerns but unfortunately a lot of the warez sites etc. simply don't care - they have all sorts of loopholes etc. and in many cases are not concerned with being told to remove files, threatened with legal action and so on.
On a side note - envato are not copyright owners so any requests to remove files need to come from authors but from envato or authors does not change the fact that in many many cases it just won't work.
As with reversals it is not that envato don't care nor do not want to stop this but there is simply nothing more that they can do. Banks will always support their customers over envato with reversals and if these pirate sites choose to ignore requests to remove files - what can envato do? It's not like this a problem exclusive to envato - it's the same with just about any digital marketplace like this out there.
Again if people have any suggestions for them I am certain they would like to hear them

It finally happened, I knew it.
Ok I knew it would have happed soon or later.
I decided to not support an item of mine anymore and a user asked me for support just 2 days ago (during a non working day).
I have not replied in 2 days and I got 1 star with this reason:
no support at all , plugin did not work - useless
"No support at all": really??
"Plugin did not work": Uhm that's weird because the plugin was sold 549 times and rated 4.27 (counting this 1 star).
So what should I do? Should I give support even if the user have not bought support?
This is not fair in my opinion.

Congrats! Reversal???
we all identify this, Charlie (but this is good that u mentioned about it all the same), however , i have trouble to understand how can a reversal be "accepted by all". Actually, aren't there insurances and so on to make sure that all don't get cheated? we know that part of the reversals are due to the fact that some guys buy some items with stolen credit cards and i identify that's hard to fight against, no doubt … . What i am surprised with is that i realized a short while ago that some sites that we had reported as being cheating people here are still continuing activity and i can't figure out how they can … let's face it they are stealing people and violating rights and in the end they can keep on working sort of quietly despite people have reported violations … not to mention that we are not talking about a few isolated cases or items, some of them are hosting hundreds or maybe thousands of creations … which is hurting everyone 's businesses

Suggestion to modify item's creation date
Hi All,
There's a big segment of people look at item's creation date before buy it (of course i'm one of them 
Actually the only important thing is the item's last update which indicates that the author interesting about his item and always update, fix and add new features to it besides item's rate of course.
So i decide to try some modifications on this table (has item's created date), so i put this CSS style text-decoration: line-through; to the created date to make a thin line over it, then i looked again into the page then i noticed that i'm interesting only about the item's last update and the created date seems like invisible.
I think the ordinary buyers may worry only about item's last update and the user rates.

What are the useful things for Print Template Design?
hi, well for the perfect size if u ever get to know which one is the best , then pls let me know lol, now it also depends on which kind of flyer or whatever u want to create … if u create a party flyer, , unless u are a sick illustrator, then i don't know why you would create it with illustrator … . Indesign, for me is not necessary … some guys really like it and find all kind of crazy explanations on why you should use it instead of other applications but for me that's not the best , photoshop is as most of your customers will have photoshop and not necessarily all the other applications indeed
for the blend guideline,s whatever u create u need it , it has to 0.3 cm all around the finished size on the document and u need a safety zone in the concerned document in which u put no text or whatever , this is the safety zone …
one of the tip that i may give u is to work with black color 30/30/30/100 or 40/40/40/100 as they are enabling the black color to dry more quickly when printed. U should also beware of dark blue colors, and check that your magenta color is at least having a discrepancy with cyan, u need 30% more cyan than magenta to make sure that u do not get violet instead of dark blue …
when u are exporting the finished document, if u want to make sure that fonts appear as well as in indesign, without using it (because unless what some guys u don't have to use it) , u need to select PDF-X-1a option and when u do u'll so no difference in the way typo are printed

As suggested in the knowledge base below, the switch can take 30 days. The best thing to do is have 2 accounts, one exclusive and another non-exclusive.
Can I change my account from exclusive to non-exclusive?
Yes you can change your exclusivity status but keep in mind that you will need to wait 30 days until the change takes effect. This will affect the percentage of revenue you get after you change your status from 30 days after the change is made. Don't forget you can have an exclusive account and a non-exclusive account.

New standards needed for review process!
The biggest problem on Themeforest is that there is no standard for theme upload. Lately standards are gone completly, authors spend months working on WordPress theme and then theme is rejected because of
design although HTML or PSD version were approved.
This is not acceptable. This is a serious business for most of authors, not learning voluntary school of WordPress and authors don't want to lose time on something that is not guaranteed.
My proposal for reviewers is to add standards in their review process. For example if HTML or PSD is approved
then template can be marked like this - this template design is ready or is not ready for WordPress category-.
If it is not ready then author can work on design in current category (HTML or PSD) until it is improved and ready
for WordPress and after that developer doing his job of preparing design for WP with reviewer's
GUARANTY that it is going to be approved. Guaranty can be valid for, let's say, 2 months from date
when PSD or HTML is approved.
Isn't this nice and clean way to make more standard in review process and to respect author's time?
There is lot of other details that can be developed, this is just general proposal.

Two years at Envato, thanks everyone!

Creating affiliate website
I want to create an affiliate website which shows multiple products from many producers - it's not an e-commerce website.
The main target of this website as you understand for the affiliate website is provide many informations about products such as the period of big sale, the lists of products on sale, the discount code used for buy online and the bestsellers. When customers click one product it'll redirect to the producer's website.
In my website, I have some pages
- products: lists all the events/posts related to each products the customers choose from the menu
- products on sale: lists all the events about products are on sale and the period.
- discount code: lists all the discount codes (from 30-50%, 50%+, <30%) which the producers prodvide to the customer for using to buy online some products.
- bestsellers: lists all the products which customers buy so much
I wonder about the website design that i'll build as a blog posts or an ecommerce without shopping cart module. And do you have any idea for the theme that i can use for my website.

WP Soft Reject - Could Use Some Feedback
Hi all,
I just got my WP theme submission Soft Rejected with the following message:
We already have a number of submissions with the same overall design and concept and we have to draw the line somewhere....
Minimal templates can be clean and simple when you manage to handle the white space and details to provide a simple but yet unique template. But if you can't, it will look like an incomplete template – blank template.
In this case, the submitted template is more like a 'framework' than a full fledged design. If you're going with minimalism, you need to make sure all the little details check out.
The theme in question is Adaptation - Blog Theme
This is a second Soft Reject, so I don't know if I should stick to this design or start from scratch?
Any thoughts and feedback would be much appreciated.

HTML approved WordPress rejected 2 times because of design!
What is main problem here? Unconsistency of review and every reviewer has his own opinion. Actually theme is "soft rejected" whatever that means nowdays.
This is first review after WP was made exactly as HTML:
Reviewer b: "I'm very sorry, but this theme is not ready to be included in the WordPress category at ThemeForest. The design needs significant improvements and additional attention to detail to reach a point where we can provide more specific feedback. Please consider taking some time to familiarize yourself with our current library and quality levels of popular items and resubmit once it's ready. "
Ok I got it. I asked for more advanced review in support question and hopefully got more detailed answer:
Reviewer k: "Unfortunately 'WordPress' has higher standards in terms of aesthetics. An approved design in other categories does not guarantee an approval under ThemeForest's WordPress category. Your design has an interesting starting concept, but it needs significant improvements in terms of aesthetics and attention to details.
As higher quality items become available in the marketplace, approval requirements will increase to maintain appropriate marketplace quality.
While I'd be able to provide feedback as to how to get this approved, I can only do after it has crossed a certain threshold, quality wise. I'm sorry to say this isn't there yet.

Ok I was really grateful for those links and for "interesting starting concept" attribute and with my designer were working on improvement which leaded to theme as you can see in current WP link above. And resubmit. And again new review which leads me to beginning again:
Reviewer e: 1. "Theme is too generic and plain. 2. Current design is something you would find in a free theme, not really ready to be commercialized. 3. Make something unique and avoid blend design elements."
What? Now this is not interesting starting concept anymore? What can I learn from this review? What can I do? To start from scratch? But why, when even worse HTML version of this theme is selling well although it is not multimulti1000 demos theme, it sells well for a simple HTML. But now even improved it is not worth for WP.
And really nobody can say anything how to improve this? Can this theme be moved to appropriate category?

Facing issues when uploading new project for sale.
Hi,
I am new to envato, I want to upload a project in Codecanyon but when i am uploading project getting following message.
"You must indicate you have suitable licenses / ownership of the content you're uploading"
As i have developed the project myself so i want to know what licence i need for this. how can i fix this issue.

Graphicriver Review Time
So what happened ? All of a sudden the review time went up from 3-4 days to 9-11 days... Even though it says that it can take up to 7 days for the review process. I have been here for over 3 years now and these things always vary from 2 hours to 28 days [my personal best] ... or worst depends on how you see it. Getting past the fact that I asked this question several times now, I will one more time. Why is that a marketplace with such a big capital wont hire more reviewers to sort this fluctuation of review time? I hope this wont be swept under the rug again. Cheers!
