What is minimum technical design requirements?

I've noticed you've fixed your 404 error with fonts and now it definitely looks better, but it still is not up there.

There is no problem with the retro style itself, but even the retro design should follow principles of modern design. Your typography is very weak, colors are not very inspiring, logo is weird (and I mean whole image not just the icon) and whole layout is just too generic.

Honestly, making a good looking retro site which won't look outdated is definitely not an easy task.
