I did a small test by uploading the items in tallying the id of them. It turns out every day around 14500 items are submitted on Envato sites (all sites combined). That's 10 items submitted every minute And as per http://ift.tt/1Z7UhG5 "Items reviewed" figure, Envato reviews around 23000 items in 1 day
I have submitted my item 3 days ago and I know my item has a huge mountain to climb and that I am mentally prepared to wait, I must also say that Envato is doing a commendable job of reviewing 23000 items every day. Clearly the review process seems to be a hybrid of automated and manual testing. And it's also clear that there is an overwhelming amount of sub-standard products being submitted on Envato. Much more than what I previously believed.
So to all those who are in the queue, hang in tight and make sure your product stand out because this is the new reality on Envato.
