Good question! As you probably know our sites are no longer accessible from certain countries, including Iran, due to US sanctions. Users who were located in a Restricted Country had their accounts disabled. When this happened, all item purchase codes associated with those accounts automatically become invalid.
Although this may make it difficult for you to verify some buyers, you may choose to honor their requests for updates anyway. It's ultimately your call as to whether or not you continue to provide direct updates going forward.

Hi azadmahalat, we understand your frustration. Unfortunately we can't comment on the approach other companies have taken, but ours was taken after much research and consideration. We also very much want envato to be available to everyone, and will continue to closely monitor the situation and be ready to respond if possible.
