My point is that there are a bunch of authors who are apparently from Antarctica, people on Facebook who studied at the 'University of Life' and some on Twitter who live at 'Planet Earth'. You need a slightly more concrete procedure for ascertaining an authors country, than what they decided to type in a box at the time of signing up. And if they were doing this to make a few thousand dollars, then they wouldn't have given several weeks of notice with explicit instructions of what would happen if people didn't fill out a W8.
